I sat down to write a list of things I needed to get done today because this pregnancy has given me a severe case of 'baby brain'. I, unfortunately, am neglecting to do things simply because I have forgotten. I bought myself a little notebook that stays in my purse and it is one long ongoing list so I no longer have any excuses of forgetfulness. As I was writing my latest things to be done I was reminded of my 101 list that has been a bit neglected with this pregnancy as well. After re-reading some of my goals I realized that I've accomplished some and desperately need to accomplish others. For example...
25. Take a multivitamin daily every day for a month - CHECK! (Completed 06/08)
I've finally been diligent about taking vitamins since I've been pregnant. The key to success was placing my vitamins on my bedside. I never go to bed without a glass of water so I rarely forget to take it at bedtime now. I have even added a fish oil supplement which they say is great for brain development for the baby.
36. Floss every day for a week
I am committing myself to completing this task THIS week. The reason being that I paid a little visit to the dentist today and my hygienist informed me that I had the worst case of pregnancy gingivitis that's she ever seen. YUCK! I can't tell you how badly my gums bled during the cleaning today. Double YUCK! Did you know the volume of blood increases by 40% in a pregnant woman? So I might be a bloody mess but at least I'll have healthier gums and one less task to be accomplished.
62. Save for one summer - CHECK! (Completed 06/08)
I have been teaching for 10 years and it has taken me 10 years to finally figure out my summer finances. I'm usually committed to working summer school due to the need for a summer paycheck. But, for once, I saved enough money to get me through the summer without having to worry about teaching summer school or any other classes or workshops. Hallelujah. Maybe this pregnancy is making me a bit more responsible?
63. Buy a new laptop - CHECK! (Completed 06/08)
