Little Peanut

Happy One Week Birthday baby girl! It's amazing that a whole week has already passed us by since little Brooklyn joined our world. This past week has truly been amazing and wonderful. It's been so fun getting to know our little girl. We call her little peanut because she is so small and loves to be swaddled. The minute you take her clothes off she becomes "little miss fuss" (as Dan likes to call her) and instantly calmed as soon as she is swaddled back up. As you can see from the pictures below, she has a little stork bite on her right eye. She has long fingers and toes (with the infamous Avery space between the big & second toe). Overall, she is a very calm and peaceful baby. The pregnancy, labor, & delivery experience has been made better by being such an easy baby (although it has not been forgotten despite what all you mother say out there).

Daddy has definitely fallen in love with his little girl. Dan was able to take five days off for the first week and even got off early the next couple of days (as a car Sales Manager that has been almost impossible since I've known him). He rushes home from work anxious to see and care for Brooklyn. He is "hands on" and is so proud to be a dad.

Yesterday we had our first little mini photo session. I'm sure you'll be seeing lots more of her on my blog in the months to come.
