Sometimes you just don't want to have your picture taken! That's the kind of day it was for 2-year old Nathan(I totally understand...I'd much rather be behind the camera than in front). And who could blame him...he was hungry and just woke from a nap. So although I didn't get a shot of him smiling during our holiday family photo session, I still think there are some sweet pictures of him with his adorable parents. I'm personally a fan of capturing kids in all of their moods. I think it's a realistic portrayal of life as a toddler and the parents dealing with their crankiness. I would be more than happy to do a follow up session though so I can capture that cute smile that I know he has. Last year we had a fun session at the park. You may remember the infamous picture of the little guy being thrown up in the air by his dad. We did another this year!
