{Brooklyn} Day at the Aquarium

A huge thanks to the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific for honoring teachers, I got in free today! I actually didn't have any teacher ID on me when I approached the ticket counter, and lucky for me...the ticket clerk was a former student of mine. Sweet! Brooklyn fell asleep in the stroller before we even got through the ticket line. Which was good and bad. She did not fuss through the wait but then missed out on the first hour of aquarium excitement. I was excited to see how she would react at this age to the aquarium.

She loved it! She was pointing and gasping and saying "fish", "shark" and "ohhhh", when she was at a lost for words. I'm sure there is nothing more magical than experiencing life through the eyes of a toddler.

Disclaimer: You may have noticed that Brooklyn's hair is a bit crazy and it is! I can't stand to have her bangs hang in her eyes. But, it's almost impossible doing her hair since she won't sit still. I attempt to do so while she is running, and turning, and jumping! What a crazy girl. And then you add a nap on top of that, and you get super duper crazy hair-do. But, having said all that, I kinda like her crazy hair. It kinda fits her personality.

I'm never in pictures, because I'm always taking them. But really, I can hardly stand seeing myself in images when I am. I know, that's terrible. I'm a photographer, for godsakes! So, I'm getting over my issues for the sake of capturing history. So here I am with my mini-me!
