{Brooklyn} Before & After

I absolutely love when other photographers share their recipes for photo editing. I especially love seeing the transformation from "before" to "after". I never considered myself an artist, and now I do. So I want to share a little what I do to capture my clients (and in this post, my daughter).

I am a huge fan of Life Camera Action actions from Brett Jarnigan. I had the opportunity to attend his Shooters workshop in Mexico and get to know him personally. I was never a Photoshop user (Lightroom for me, baby) until I met him. And now I'm using it almost exclusively. I'm always a bit resistant to change, and then become the biggest fan when I discover that something works for me. I did the same thing with shooting jpeg. One day I started shooting RAW and wondered why I ever waited.

So here are a few snapshots of my baby girl today. Shot in RAW with my D300. Edited in Photoshop with Polaroid at 50%. Then a bit of Insane Eyes.

I tend to like cooler tones, bright skin, bright eyes.
