{Brooklyn} Celebrating her 3rd Birthday at California Adventure

Before planning Brookie's UP birthday party, we had planned to go to Disneyland. Some of the "big kids" visiting would have been super disappointed had we canceled those plans. My mom & sister Lynnette were visiting from Washington and my other sister Jeanene was visiting from Texas. We were only missing my dad from my immediate family (who does not fly and only visits in March when he drives down) and my baby brother who couldn't get away from work. We are only together a couple of times a year...so it's super fun to do something like go to Disney together (we are in fact from the woods of Washington, remember?).

So on Brooklyn's actual birthday we all set out for California Adventure (after taking a vote of which park to visit). Since we have an annual pass we only ever go for a couple of hours at a time (the best way to do it!), so there is still much that we have yet to see. It was a fun filled day celebrating the little (or big?) three year old.

This was the first time Brookie met Mickey, and on her birthday!

The real magic begins at sundown!

We finished a wonderful day watching Color of Wonder.
Such a magical show and Brookie absolutely loves it! It's a long show though for kids (30 minutes) but it's pretty spectacular. You're better off getting preferred standing by getting a fast pass or eating at one of the restaurants that include it in the meal.
