{Brooklyn} 4th Birthday - Part I | Pa's Pumpkin Patch

Little Brookie Brooks turned 4 on Tuesday, the 2nd. You might remember that she shares her birthday with our cousin's little girl Lyla. We were literally in the hospital at the same time delivering our girls on the same day...while our husbands texted one another back & forth. And wouldn't you know it...my little brother had his little girl Kendall Kay this week on B's birthday. Brian sent me a sweet text in advance saying "Have to schedule C-section and it's gotta be on Tuesday the second. Love ya. Tell Brookie I'm sorry." And so I did. I told Brookie what was going on & that Uncle BriBri says sorry. To which she replied, "Why did he say sorry?" I explained that maybe he thought you would be sad since you have to share your birthday with your baby cousin. Her response was, "I'm not sad...I'm happy. I get to share my birthday with baby Kendall." I can't tell you how much that warmed my heart. This girl of mine is constantly surprising me.

 Being that B was born in October, visiting Pa's Pumpkin Patch has become a family tradition in October. We've gone every year since she was only less than a month old...

So this was actually our 5th visit to the patch and it did not disappoint. Brookie loved every moment!

The Candy Land game was the hit of the night & also the theme of her 4th birthday.

 Brookie got this crown from her birthday celebration at montessori. 

 This is the card she received from her Grammy Avery...the first year she won't be here to celebrate B's bday. But also the first "birthday" of baby Kendall. It's a good thing she was there to welcome our newest baby girl to the fam.
