{Volkoff Family} Holiday Mini Sessions | Seal Beach Family Photographer

Two kids under three is always the recipe for a photo shoot disaster. As much as I love kids, capturing them can be a major challenge. I feel like it's the most difficult type of session I do...but when the session goes well...it's also the most rewarding. I've changed the way I shoot kids. I try to let them just have fun and capture them doing so. No posing and just keep clicking that shutter.

I've been so fortunate to capture the Volkoff family since even before they were a family. They are the type of friends that are more like family. And we are even lucky enough to work with another teaching too. We are all sorts of blessed to be in one anothers' lives. Love you guys so much. These little girls Lu & Grace are especially special since I was there for both of their births (I can't even say that for my own sisters' children).

The day after our session Aaron lost one of his friends to cancer (a friend that was our age with children the same age as Lu & Grace). He was able to be there with his friend in the hospital when he passed...which is why he was not at the session. It was such a reminder of the gift of friendship and how precious this one & only life we have is.
