My five favorite apps...

It's hard to imagine a time when I did not have an iPhone. I am rarely without it and rely on it to communicate and connect both personally and professionally, to capture life's moments, to keep me organized, and to entertain and inspire me. My five favorite apps and the ones that I use most often are...

1. PicTapGo - This is my favorite app to use to edit photos. You can layer edits and save the recipes to use at a later time. Super user friendly and you can post straight to Instagram.

2. Instagram - As a photographer, you could easily assume that Instagram would be a favorite of mine. But I love it for more than just sharing my photos. I'm so impressed with the awesome community of IGers that I've connected with around the globe. I've formed friendships with people because of this app. It's an awesome community of daily inspiration and positivity.

3. Spotify - I'm not sure what I ever did before the days of Spotify. I listen to music from sun up to sun down and have discovered so much great music thanks to other users and the intuitive interface that Discovers music for you based on your listening. I pay the $10 a month and it's so worth it considering that would be the cost of one album.

4. TeuxDeux - I've used many different apps to keep myself organized. This one is my fave because of its super clean design and it also syncs with the online version.

5. Duolingo - As a language teacher, people always ask me for references on how to learn a language. It's been so long since I learned Spanish that I was never really up to speed on the latest and greatest tools. Well, I recently decided that I wanted to learn French and saw this app recommended on a tech blog. I LOVE IT! I even introduced it to my Spanish students and they love it too. You know it's a good thing when your student comes in on a Monday morning saying that it is so addicting and that she was up til 3 in the morning practicing her Spanish! SCORE!
