39 seems like a big year because it's the last year before a new decade, the dreaded 40s. I gotta tell you something though...I'm looking forward to 40. My 20s were hard and my 30s were harder. I think the 40s will be awesome and bring wisdom from experience and appreciation for all that I have.
When it's your birthday you get asked what you want. And of course there are things that I would love to have....but I certainly do not need them. And more than ever, I feel so drawn to minimizing my belongings and just living with less. I'm so tired of clutter and stuff and the overwhelming feeling that comes with managing it all. And may I add that all of the things that I want or desire these days are not tangible...they cannot be bought...and only experienced or felt.
So on this eve of the last year of my 30's, I want to reflect on all that I already have. And be grateful for that. There is plenty that is wrong in my world...and obstacles to overcome...but there is way more for me to be grateful. So today I'm focusing on that...
