{Tiffany + Gerald} In Love & Married | Palos Verdes Wedding Photographer

In addition to teaching high school Spanish for the past 10 years at LHS, I've advised the cheer team for many of those years. Now resigned, I've continued in contact and have become friends with many of my former cheerleaders (thanks to good ole Facebook). Having spent countless hours with them during summer practices, camps, games, parades, fundraisers, etc...you can imagine the bond that forms over the years. I've been privileged to shoot their weddings, their pregnancies, and even their babies.

Enter Tiffany. She was actually one of my Varsity Captains her senior year. At the time I had already become a photographer and she would always joke that I would shoot her wedding one day. I made her promise me that she wouldn't get married until she was at least 30 (although she seems to remember me saying 25). So I had to have a little chuckle when she contacted me about getting married (she is now 21). She is totally in love and I'm incredibly happy for her and her now husband Gerald. He is leaving TODAY for Army boot camp and will most likely be gone for the next year. I know this next year will be a struggle but I know their love and faith in God will keep them strong. I'm so happy to give them these images to hold near and dear while they are away from each other.

Tiffany, you are just stunning...

{Captured} Senior Friends

I'm on a roll. I told you it was going to be a busy week! This is my third blog post for the day and definitely one of my faves. I've know these girls since they were freshmen and now they are going to be seniors! We headed out to Pasadena for something a little different. This first shot was taken at The Huntington Library.

I love telling clients to be serious because it's always followed with laughter and the best smiles. I know, call me crazy, but I think port-a-potties make for a cool backdrop. And they're turqoise...so they're super COOL!

I had to shoot these last two images with my camera hanging off my neck so we didn't get kicked out of Forever 21.

{Captured} Michelle

Senior Sessions continue to be one of my favorite to capture! Hello...if you've ever met a high school girl, they are all smiles in front of the camera. Michelle is no exception. She is one of the most positive and "smiley" girls I've ever met! She has been voted "most spirited" the last two years in a row and it's no surprise! I could take a hundred of these girls as a student! LOVED her cowboy hat and her playful pose with the lollipop. Congrats girls on your upcoming graduation. You have a such an exciting future to look forward to...

{Captured} friends

Today I met up with friends Bee & Jess to capture them and their friendship for their senior portraits. We had such a blast walking the streets of Long Beach. I'm a huge advocate of grads doing their portraits together. You get some great shots together but more importantly you get genuine and natural looking portraits alone because of the interaction between you two. It, of course, takes the pressure off of me to make you more comfortable in front of the camera. Its a win win situation and we always have a ton of fun during our senior sessions! Time is running of, Class of 2009...book your senior sessions soon! My calendar is filling up and graduation is right around the corner.

What would a teenage girl be without her cell phone? I love this series!!!

Congratulations Girls!

Lakewood HS Cheer competed at Jamz Nationals yesterday at California Adventure. They did a fabulous job and placed fourth of 12 teams competing. The best part was beating the team that placed first at regionals (to our second). I am so proud of them! We also had a group of five girls that did an amazing job in the group stunt division. They WON Nationals!!! I'm continuously impressed with the athleticism of these girls. They are doing all girls stunts that I only attempted to do with a male partner in my day. See the album HERE.
