I had such a fun night shooting Alexis & John's engagement session & party! They are friends of a friend of a friend...if you catch my drift! Really, next weekend I'll be shooting Melly & Chas' wedding. And then their friend Courtney's wedding in March. And finally Alexis & John's wedding in July. How's that for word of mouth? Thank you friends & clients...I LOVE YOU!
But on to this session. A&J needed absolutely no warming up to the camera. They were ready at the first click. Gotta love that...because it's a rare occurence. Here's just a glimpse into our session...

{Kal + Tony} Engaged at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel
The craziest thing happened a couple of weeks ago. I just so happened to be shooting a wedding at the Ritz while one of my best friends was being proposed to on a balcony overlooking the wedding I was shooting. Her boyfriend had no idea that I would be there but upon arriving, Kal was stunned and told him that I was also there. They texted me "do you have time to shoot some engagement pictures today?" only moments before the bride walked down the aisle. Tears came instantly and I was overjoyed by the day! Lucky for me, it was an early wedding and I was done shooting at 5pm. I joined the festivities with their other friends that also came to celebrate. I got to do some informal engagement photos but more than anything, I got to celebrate with them. It was amazing and perfect! And I'm grateful that I got to be a part! I've wanted to blog their photos sooner but they were surprising all their friends at an event this evening. Hope it was a blast!
Hello, gorgeous ring (captured by my new macro lens).
I love this image! They look so incredibly happy! As they should be. I love love!
Kal's parents sent their congratulations, moments after learning of the great news.
