{Danielle + David} Trash the Dress | Sneak Peek

Tonight, I shot my first ever Trash the Dress session. It was super fun and it got my creative juices flowing. You might remember this couple from their May wedding. What I was not expecting...was that I would also be "trashed". I walked alway with a very wet lower half, but was very happy that none of my equipment got wet. Here's just a sneak at the fun we had tonight...starting with David's Harley.

{Marta + Carlos} Laguna Beach Engagement Photographer

Last week in the middle of the end-of-the school year madness, graduation, celebratory parties, and packing for vacation...I finally got to meet Marta & Carlos. I'll be shooting their wedding this August, so it was great meeting them both after months of talking on the phone and writing emails back and forth. I always love it at the end of a session when a client says "that was so fun!". Music to my ears! Here's a sneak peek, and I apologize for the wait!

I'm deep in the throws of editing last week's wedding and thought I'd post a few as I edit. Many photographers post a long blog post of many images for their wedding couples all at once. But that means I have to have them all edited, which means more time to do so and the later the blog post. Instead I'll continue to post as I edit, so you get to see a little something right away!

{Danielle + David} Sneak Peak of their First Look

Saturday I had the pleasure of being a part of Danielle & David's wedding in Laguna Beach. They hired me last year thanks to our mutual friend & co-worker Josh! I knew these guys would be a blast to shoot and they did not disappoint. I knew they would be fun! What I didn't know is that they would also turn me into a blubbering mess. Seriously, I was so moved by their emotions, especially Danielle. D&D have been together for 8 years...so it's only likely that their emotions would be running high.

I loved their first look! Danielle was emotional to see David and he was so sweet, putting her emotions at ease. They are such a great balance to one another. I really loved getting a sneak peak myself into their relationship. It was beautiful! This is just the beginning of the sneak peaks of their wedding day....

{Manic Monday} 13th ed.

It's been a while since I've posted a weekly Manic Monday and thought it was due time. Especially since today was truly MANIC! It started with a dreadful morning realizing the damage of Mother's Day (which was amazing!) but unfortunately I stubbed my toe on the boat & got my iPhone wet from a huge wave that doused me with water on the bow. My toe is swollen and black & blue. I can t wear close toed shoes and it hurts to walk on it. This pretty much stinks since I walk home from work every day since Dan & I have been sharing one car. The morning continued in the same fashion as I realized that I did not submit my electronic grades over the weekend (since I was also absent from teaching on Friday). I now have to do it by hand! Yuck. It will cost me $400 to replace my phone but I'm eligible next month for an upgrade. Double yuck! To make matters worse, Dan dropped his phone today and broke the button to turn the phone on/off. Okay now that I ve updated you on all the yucky stuff, here s the good news!

I shot a wedding at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel on Saturday. That place is beautiful! I can't wait to share the images from the day. But in the meantime, I had fun capturing the hotel details with my iPhone and Cross Process app. Saturday ended in the most unexpected fabulous way! One of my best friends got engaged at the Ritz while I was shooting the wedding (the actual engagement took place on the balcony that just so happened to overlook the wedding I was shooting). She knew I was shooting a wedding there but it was totally unbeknownst to her boyfriend, who was surprising her. I got to celebrate with them after the wedding and shoot a couple quick engagement photos for them. I am so incredibly happy for them and cannot get over the fact that I was there.

Brian + Michelle {say I do}

I can't believe I'm going to post a few sneak peaks from LAST NIGHT'S wedding! This might be my fastest post ever (especially since it was near midnight when I got home last night). I just have to share a few fun detail shots from Brian & Michelle's awesome wedding at Tivoli Terrace in Laguna Beach. It was such a cool venue and the staff and event coordinator Patrick could not have been nicer. You'll have to come back for more later...cuz the bride was STUNNING! Congrats Brian & Michelle...I could not be happier for the two of you. I'm so excited that we are going to be neighbors soon so I know I'll be seeing lots of you!

Scott & Stacey's Wedding

I have been so excited for this wedding because I just knew it was going to be beautiful. Bride Stacey has a fun & funky style, so I couldn't wait to see her dress and all the wedding details. She did not disappoint! To begin with, she was absolutely stunning! She had a very classic glam Hollywood look...that I'm sure left the groom breathless. The best part of the wedding was the laughter and the tears. Easily flowing before the ceremony even began. Congratulations...you guys make a beautiful couple! See the slideshow HERE.
