{Nina + AJ} Long Beach Ebell Club Wedding

AJ & Nina tied the knot this past Saturday! It was so fun to capture their day...the nerves, emotions, & excitement! They shared with me in their consultations their expectations for the day..."Ideally, we both see our wedding as a celebration. We just want everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves on this special day. Our idea of an ideal wedding would be a smile on everyone's faces." Smiles there were! The dance floor was packed the entire evening and it was apparent everyone was having a blast. Congrats AJ & Nina. I loved capturing your day and so happy to know the both of you. Thank you again for inviting me to play a part.

The Ebell Club is definitely my favorite wedding venue to shoot at in Long Beach. Partly because I got married there too but it's such a beautiful venue with so much charm and attention to detail. The staff is awesome and everything always runs so smoothly there. And the food by Jay's is delicious too!

Venue: Ebell Club of Long Beach
Caterer: Jay's Catering
Flowers: Cristina's Flowers
Officiant: Mark Davio
DJ: LA Mobile DJ's
Hair & Makeup Artist: Sweet Fuss
A huge thank you to Stephanie for 2nd shooting and Marissa for assisting.

Here's a sneek of their day...
I just love the pop of red shoes for a Christmas wedding!

Instead of a guest book, they had a wishing Christmas tree. Such a cute & creative idea.
One of my favorite moments in a wedding is seeing the grooms face after seeing his bride for the first time.
 All smiles!
Celebrating the newly Mr. & Mrs. Popoff!
The rings to make it official.
Time to party!
A classic moment between the bride and her father...
The groom and his mother...
Let them eat cake...
Girls just wanna have fun!

{i do} jen + dan - personal fave

I love the in between moments! Bride Jen was walking back to the bridal suite and turned back to say something to me....and I was in awe of the moment. Gorgeous light streaming through the window, bride peaking around the wall, and the image burned into my mind as the "perfect shot"! I quickly replied with "DON'T MOVE!" Technically speaking, the image was completely overexposed but the moment was still captured and I think it's stunning. It's definitely my fave for today!

This next shot was captured by second shooter John. Another beautiful light moment...

{i do} jen + dan - the details

Saturday I got the privelige of shooting Jen & Dan's wedding at The Ebell with my intern Amanda and second shooter John Loyola. I was so excited for this wedding for a few reasons...1.) I know the family because Jen's mom Yvonne takes care of little Brookie Brooks (Yvonne nickedname her that and I love it) and 2.) I was also married at The Ebell. I've always loved the venue and it was so fun seeing someone else's wedding there, totally different from my own. I was hoping to get a quick preview up yesterday but unfortunately I underestimated how exhuasted I would be after shooting for 10 hours on Saturday. It's kinda like doing squats all day long! I'm still sore.

At any rate, I had so much fun and I think their wedding turned out perfectly! I plan on posting more previews as I sort and edit through the thousands of images.
