{Budd Family} The Outdoor Session

Lucky for us, the rain took a little break and we continued our session outside. Might I add that the Budds would have been perfectly happy shooting in the rain but I refrained. Seriously? In the rain? I might get my lens wet? No thanks! PNW folk are die hard! Me, not so much. Although I lived 25 years in the rain, I continue to despise it 10 years later.

On another note, the PNW has the perfect landscape for photography. I do envy that! (Click on images to see larger)

{Budd Family} Olympia, WA Family Photographer

There are only two other people that I've been friends with longer than my childhood friend Lora. We're going on 30 years of friendship! Her oldest two girls are now older than we were when we first met. I'm not sure how that is possible. Where does the time go? And how am I that old? I don't know. What I do know is that I'm thankful for a friendship that has sustained much! Boy, do we have stories! Too many to tell and some that shall never be shared. I love this girl and she has made a beautiful family! I'm so proud & happy for her.

Now on to the kiddies! That don't come much cuter than this. What an awesome privilege to shoot her family! It's so fun to see all my photos framed & hanging in their home. It's so humbling to see my work on their walls.

It was unfortunately raining for most of the day, so we captured a few shots in front of their living room window...waiting for the rain to go away. And it did! This is the in-door session (I'll post outdoor next). I'm so lucky to shoot in SoCal with our amazing weather. I had to get creative in the NW rain.

The Kreidler Bunch

I've known this family for 25 years...hard to believe it's been that long already! Lora and I went to elementary school all the way to WSU together. During our school years, I was a regular fixture in their home. It's amazing to see their family grow and so much fun to capture them in photos. Here's a quick preview of our session together at The Capitol Building in Olympia, WA.

Cutie pies

The school year is officially over and I have begun my summer in the Pacific Northwest. I'm home in Olympia, WA visiting family and friends. The past two days I've been catching up with life long friend Lora and her adorable three. Here are a few shots of the cutie pies...

Day Five - Catching up with friends

After the craziness of Christmas day, my dad and I took Dan to the airport at 5 AM!!! Unfortunately, he had to cut his vacation short and return to Long Beach to work. I promptly returned to bed after our morning trek to SeaTac. I then spent the day visiting the Budd family and meeting their newest addition, Griffin. Griffin is my one my oldest friend's baby and her third. I always get a giggle seeing Lora with her three children because I never imagined her to have any children let alone THREE (before me too). After my visit with them, I went to see another old friend Dona. It's been years since I have seen her so we had a lot to talk about around the warm fire. I first met her when she was my family's next door neighbor. I began babysitting for her at a very early age and even went on annual vacations with her family to Montana as their on board babysitter.
