{2013 - Year in Review} Paulina Plunge, Sunriver, OR | Summer Road Trip - Part 3

This part of our road trip was definitely the highlight! I was a little hesitant about doing a downhill mountain bike tour with a 4-year old...but Brookie was such a little stud! We flew down the mountain with little screams of JOY coming from the bike of our tandem mountain bike. We did crash once or twice but there were no tears...only fits of laughter. I will forever cherish these memories with my little girl.

I had absolutely no plans of jumping into the waterfall (as I HATE cold water)...but I really want to be an example to Brookie of stepping out of your comfort zone and always living life to the fullest. So I did it! AND IT WAS COLD! But so so fun.

Brookie did get a little tired by the end of the day as the hikes were long down to the waterfalls...so our guide scooped her up and gave her a shoulder ride. She was just a little smitten by him.

{2013 - Year in Review} Sunriver, OR | Summer Road Trip - Part 2

This is a continuation of my Summer Road Trip with Brooklyn this past summer...as I reflect on this past year...

After spending three nights in Reno with the Henley family, we set out northbound to meet the Koval Family in Sunriver, Oregon. Tina invited Brooklyn & I to join her with her 3 kids on their annual family vacation. Tina & I have been friends since high school but live states away from one another...so it was so special to have an extended period of time with her and her kids. We had such a blast because every day was a different adventure! We hiked, biked, picnic'ed, watched movies, and ate lots of delicious food. Stayed tuned for Part 3 when we did the Paulina Plunge (a downhill waterfall mountain bike tour).
