{Danielle + David} Trash the Dress | Laguna Beach, CA

I was super excited when Danielle asked me if she could do a Trash the Dress session with her wedding package instead of an engagement session.And I was even more excited to shoot it and so stoaked that Danielle's goal was to go INTO the water. YES! Love this girl. I didn't actually realize that it meant me getting wet too...but that's exactly what it took to get the shot. We started with David's Harley, another fun addition for me to shoot, and then headed down to the beach at a very high tide.

{Danielle + David} Trash the Dress | Sneak Peek

Tonight, I shot my first ever Trash the Dress session. It was super fun and it got my creative juices flowing. You might remember this couple from their May wedding. What I was not expecting...was that I would also be "trashed". I walked alway with a very wet lower half, but was very happy that none of my equipment got wet. Here's just a sneak at the fun we had tonight...starting with David's Harley.

I had to post another favorite from our session with Georgina & Dennis in downtown LA. I think it's stunning of her (sorry Dennis...I cut off your head). Especially since it's so peaceful and pretty in the middle of a gross dirty cemented parking lot. I love the juxtoposition! This is the moment that our bridal portrait session became "Trash the Dress". I was hesitant to ask Georgina to lay on the ground, but then I remembered the stain that she was already unable to get out on the front and thought what the heck. The most she can do is say NO, right? What a trooper...she went for it! I think the Pattisons have taken over my blog!!! LOL.

It's a total diamond in the rough...

 

{Part III} Georgina + Dennis

The following images are some of my most favorite EVER!!! The backdrop was gorgeous, lighting perfect, and can you say BEAUTIFUL models. HaHa! Georgina is actually a friend and coworker of mine. She has expressed diappointment in her original wedding pictures to me in the past. When the FTPhotographers were looking for a couple to model for us, I instantly thought of her! Of course she replied with YES! Funny enough, her husband got a bit nervous as the shoot approached. He asked her the day of the shoot..."they know that we're not MODELS, right?" I think he might have underestimated their modeling power, because they photographed beautifully!!! Thanks you Georgina & Dennis! We had so much fun and I'm so happy that you finally have the wedding pictures you never had.

 

 

 

 

{Part II} Georgina + Dennis

In route from the Bradbury Building to the Disney Hall, we found the an awesome tunnel where we had to dodge traffic to get "the shot". I had no idea that photography could be so thrilling and DANGEROUS! We also found an amazing stair case with PERFECT lighting. Ohhhhh...how I'm in love with this shoot! Next, we arrive to the beautiful Disney Concert Hall! GORGEOUS!!! Perfect lighting again! Did I say that I'm in love with this job???

 

 

 

 

{Captured} Georgina + Dennis

As promised, here is the AMAZING couple the FTP photogs got to shoot on Saturday evening. This first series is at the Bradbury Building and surrounding area. Georgina was such a trooper. What inititally was a bridal shoot, soon turned to a "trash the dress" session. She even lied on the gross dirty blacktop! Yuck! Needless to say, her dress was pretty thrashed by the end of our shoot...but I'm thinking it was worth it? Whadya think?
